EXAMPLES, CONCEPTION AND DESIGN OF AUGMENTED REALITY APPLICATIONS IN THE CULTURAL SECTOR
This course offers a first introduction to the complex field of augmented reality (AR). It stretches over a day and is divided into two parts.
The first part emphasizes the imparting of basic knowledge and meaningful examples: We look at the art-historical context of this young technology and discuss current AR applications within artistic expression. The program also includes an overview of the hardware and software required and a clarification of important terminology from AR programming.
The second part focuses on the analogous development and design of AR applications in the creative sector. In small groups or single-handedly we formulate and visualize ideas, discuss them and develop the prototypes further. A final presentation will be an opportunity to talk to the project staff about the creation of missing content and the potential of a technical implementation. The following courses are linked to both points.
This training is a basic course that requires no prior knowledge. Own project ideas and materials can be brought along but are not a requirement!
