Do you have an exciting idea for an artistic concept in connection with augmented, mixed and/or virtual reality? Do you already have some experience with XR in the cultural sector? Would you like to develop all aspects of this concept collectively in an interdisciplinary team? Then apply for the AURORA Fellowship 2025!
The XR Open Call 2024/25 addresses individuals and teams from Berlin’s independent art and culture scene and creative industry: artists, collectives and small companies from all areas (visual arts, music, literature, performing arts, design, photography and video art) are welcome! Please write us if you are unsure whether your project idea is suitable.
HTW Berlin and AURORA XR School for Artists stand for an equal opportunity and discrimination-sensitive learning, teaching and working environment. We explicitly welcome qualified applications from women, non-binary, queer and trans people, as well as people with a history of migration and/or people of colour.
We are looking forward to your ideas and concepts and see particular potential in the following areas, for example:
- Interaction with avatars beyond mere observation
- Artistic research projects at the intersection of science, art and technology
- Combining analog and digital spaces in mixed reality
- Interactive storytelling
- Integration of senses beyond the visual
- Innovative digital exhibition concepts
- Reflection on social challenges (activism)
- Audience as creators / cocreation
